Stimulus funds now tagged in COS grants list
Posted on March 31, 2009
Many federal granting agencies have additional funds to award from the stimulus package, which is officially known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). In most cases, agencies are increasing the amounts they'll award to programs already open. In other cases, they will award multiple grants for programs accepting applications now.
COS (Community of Science) lets you search listings of available grants and other funding opportunities worth more than $33 billion. Now grant records that include stimulus funds have been labeled "Recovery Act (ARRA)" in COS. This label is in both the title and abstract of relevant records, and either "Recovery Act" or "ARRA" can be used as search terms.
COS lists funds available for many purposes, including research, meeting support, fellowships, postdoctoral positions, equipment, and capital or operating expenses in all disciplines.
